Battery Passport Readiness Audit — Early Access

A short research audit for UK manufacturers, importers and other economic operators preparing for the EU battery-passport requirement that applies from 18 February 2027 to covered EV, light-means-of-transport and industrial batteries.

What the readiness audit checks

Whether covered battery categories and responsibilities are understood
Whether required data points have named owners and source systems
Where supplier evidence and sustainability data are incomplete
Whether product, technical and identifier data can be traced to maintained records
Whether change control, versioning and evidence lineage are defined
Which gaps should be closed first before full passport implementation

The output is intended to be a practical data-gap and ownership map. It is not legal advice, a conformity assessment, certification, or a guarantee of compliance.

Why we are testing this now

The EU Digital Product Passport Registry became operational in July 2026, and current European Commission guidance consolidates 71 battery-passport data points. We are testing whether teams need a lightweight way to identify missing fields, unclear ownership and scattered evidence before committing to a full implementation platform.
